Elisha Asante, a 35-year-old suspect, is arrested for involvement in the mobile money vendor’s robbery attack. The situation got worst for the bystander Eve Denis at Ekye Amanfrom. This entire incident took place in the Afram Plains South District, Ghana on Nov 2021. The newly formed Anti-armed robbery unit has arrested Elisha Asant. Eve was a victim of this situation. He was a gunshot. He passed away in the hospital while undergoing treatment.
This incident occurred when Elisha Asante and a few armed men stormed Ekye Amanfrom to rob the mobile money vendor. DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, The Eastern Regional Police Public Relations official, furthermore gave inputs on the incident. The suspect already has robbery and murder charges on him. He is presently under police investigation along with other accomplices. Considering the crime rate, especially robbery is on the high rise, the police officials in that area are imposing some strict actions. The attack on mobile money vendors for money has become common these days. Elisha Asante got caught, but people like him roam on the streets freely. This situation is very shocking for all.
Elisha Asante has admitted his crime. He is currently under Police custody. The city hopes that the family of Eve Denis should get justice.
