An aged person was attacked and robbed brutally!
Description
A 77-year-old man, James Darius of Union Hall, was brutally attacked and robbed in the early hours of Saturday, December 24th, 2022, in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago. According to a police report, Darius was waiting for a taxi on Harris Promenade when an unknown woman approached him at 3:30 am.
She offered to accompany him to purchase a drink. Darius, who could not suspect any danger, decided to go with her. But as soon as they reached Lord Street, they were ambushed by two unknown men who physically assaulted Darius, robbed his $800, and fled the scene.
A few moments later, the two police officers, Ramsubhag and Caberra, rushed to that place. They sent Darius to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment. He had faced severe injuries.
So far, the police have not been able to arrest anyone in this case. Investigations are still going on; hopefully, some news will come soon.
