Bomet University in Kenya is currently in shock with the discovery of the body of Mary Ann Wangari, a 22-year-old student. She was missing from April 4th. Wangari, a Communications and Public Relations student, was last seen within the school premises on Tuesday last week. When she failed to attend classes, her friends grew concerned and notified the university security team. After a week-long search, Wangari's body was floating in River Nyangores in the Chebirir area near the campus. The discovery of Wangari's body has shifted the focus to identifying who could have killed her. The police have taken a student in custody. He was with Wangari before her disappearance, and more than ten students have recorded statements on this.
The autopsy will provide more information on the cause of Wangari's death.
The police suspect that her dead body was dumped in the river to make it appear that she got drowned. This tragic incident is the second death at Bomet University this year.
