Description

The economic crisis in India is leading to more crimes in different cities. One such crime happened in Kothakunta village, Tirupati, Chennai, India, in December 2022. It has raised the question of security and protection. An unidentified person attacked a 30-year-old man and his wife to snatch gold ornaments while they were on their way home on a motorcycle. The couple was severely injured, leading to the instantaneous death of the man, while his wife is currently undergoing treatment. Police came to know about the incident when the case got registered. K. Swarna Teja, a Peddapanjani sub-inspector, suspects that the death must have been accidental while the thief was trying to snatch the gold. The deceased is identified as P. Damodar, while his wife is P. Anuradha. The incident occurred on the road while the newly married couple was returning from Penugollu.

The complainant decided to remain unidentified and stated that once the couple reached Kothakunta, a few men threw chili powder in their eyes. The thief immediately tried to snatch the gold from the wife while the husband was protecting her. During his resistance, the thief stabbed him severely and killed him. Unfortunately, thieves are still not traced. After this horrific incident, if you are a little worried, then it’s time to install an effective safety app on your device. One such app is POTP. You can send alerts to the monitoring unit by pressing a button only.
