Police arrested two for stealing assets worth Rs 40 lakhs!
Description
The police solved a theft of Rs 40 lakhs on the 2nd of this month. The incident occurred on the 19th of last month in a house at Pontemol, Curchorem, in Goa, India.
Under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code, the police have arrested two people in it; Paul Cheema and Mazhar Shaikh. Paul is 29 years of age. He is from Cansaulim. On the other hand, Mazhar, 36 years old, is a local of Vaddem, Vasco. The burglary occurred on December 19 night when all the residents of the house had moved out for a reception ceremony at Sanguem. Samiha Bi Shaikh had lodged a complaint with the Curchorem police that burglars came through the main door and ran away with gold, cash, and other possessions valued at approximately Rs 40 lakhs.
The investigation team examined the CCTV footage and analyzed the call details by which Cheema got arrested. On cross-examination, he admitted his participation and informed me about Mazhar Shaikh.
The police are trying to find out if these two accused have any further connections to any other robbery that occurred in this area or nearby.
My Thoughts:
These incidents are very shocking. In this case, the house owners were not available; but who knows if someone passing from that area might have checked it happening and might have pressed the push button of POTP. I am a user of POTP. It is a safety app. It always reminds me that I am in the right hands as it keeps my monitoring.
