The increased number of crime scenes in Ghana raises concerns!
Description
Ghana is a popular tourist destination and an incredible country that attracts thousands of
visitors.
The country is well-known for its rich culture and history.
Ghana was the first African country to get its independence from the rule of the colonial army.
The place is also known for its vibrant music and art scene.
For the last few years, no one can ignore that there are safety concerns for the people residing in
this country because some areas here have a high crime rate.
Women and children are the maximum victims of trafficking, robbery, accidents, and murders.
The three States of Ghana wherein the crime rate is always shooting higher are as follows:-
Accra Central Division
Nima
Kaneshie
The Accra Central Division ranks top on the chart, followed by other regions like
the Nima and Kaneshie.
Every year news of homicides, death threats, and murders come maximum from the Accra
central division.
Frequent social change, city diversification, and Ghana's centralized natural and economic
system are the main factors for these crimes in this area.
Fisticuffs-related incidents, homicides, and trafficking cases are the most common crimes found
in both Nima and Kaneshie areas for the last few years.
Ghana's crime rate has roused in recent years. It has caused a threat to the economic development
of the country. Considering this fact, new laws are getting imposed, and strict actions are being
taken, reflecting increased security measures.
My Thoughts
Apart from the legislative changes that are been taken, I understand people out there should also be using Safety Apps installed on their phone. All my family members and I use a safety app called Pulse of the People. It helps me to inform people and seek for help if I am in danger. The app is very useful and effective too. It has become an integral part of my life.
