Tobago murder suspect now arrested
Description
The police have arrested a person on the charge of a murder of a man from Moruga in Scarborough on Easter Sunday, 9th of April. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Roxborough police station for questioning. The victim, Alex Anthony Cooper, was found dead with gunshot wounds in a drain in Logwood Park, Scarborough after residents reported hearing loud explosions. The district medical officer declared him dead.
It is the second murder on the island so far this year. Crime scene investigators also processed the scene. Based on the information provided, Cooper had recently moved from Bagatelle to another district in Tobago. The police did not provide further details about Cooper or the reason for his move. Meanwhile, the Homicide Bureau of Investigations in Tobago is inquiring about a recent shooting incident that resulted in the death of Nigel Sandy, a resident of Plymouth. The investigation is ongoing, and no information about any possible connection between Cooper and the shooting has come forward.
My Thoughts
A similar incident happened a few back near the market area of our residency. A riot that continued from parking a car led to a fight.
