A late student's father finds his daughter in an immunization center in Nigeria!
Description
On February 9, 2023, 12-year-old Whitney Adeniro, an eight-year-old student at Chrisland International School, was attending an inter-house sports event when she collapsed.
The teachers rushed her to a nearby immunization center instead of a hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Whitney's mother was at the sports event. She was eagerly waiting to see her daughter participate in the activities.
When Whitney didn't show up, her mother started looking for her and learned; that she had collapsed.
Whitney's mother rushed there to find out about her daughter.
According to Whitney's father, the school staff did not call them when Whitney collapsed; instead, they took her to a nearby immunization center.
The father stated that the center was a rowdy and unsanitary environment. This center had no such equipment to handle the crisis of that little girl.
The Nigerian government has responded to the incident. They are doing an investigation into the matter.
The tragic death of Whitney Adeniro has highlighted the need for proper emergency medical care in schools and sports events in Nigeria.
Her parents are calling on other parents to join them in this appeal.
They hope to prevent other families from experiencing the pain and loss they are going through.
My Thoughts:
Unexpected situations turn up without any warning. That's why we must install an effective Safety App like POTP on our phones. It helps us tip off others when we are collapsing or into any critical situation like this.
