Delhi Tourist Family Attacked with Knives and Swords by Hotel Staff in Goa, 3 Arrested

Following an attack by hotel staff wielding swords and knives, a family from Delhi has brought a case against the perpetrators in Goa. The attack occurred in the Anjuna area and was reported on social media by one of the family members, Jatin Sharma. Sharma had previously complained about the staff to the manager, which resulted in their sacked. Later this family was assaulted by four people on Instagram.
The Anjuna Police initially arrested four individuals and charged them under Section 324. The accused were later released on warning but were re-arrested after the case attracted the attention of higher authorities, including Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Sawant condemned the incident on Twitter, stating, "such anti-social elements are a threat to the peace and safety of the people in the State and will be dealt with strictly."
He ordered the police to take "the harshest action against the perpetrators." The case has been amended to include Section 307, and three accused have been re-arrested. The attack on the Delhi-based family has shocked many, with social media users expressing their outrage over the incident.
