Father of newborn twins among two killed at Mt Hope shooting

Young father of three, Keston Cumberbatch, was among the two men who were shot dead in Mt Hope, Trinidad, last Saturday night. 
It happened less than a month after Cumberbatch's twin sons were born. Cumberbatch and Anton Young, 44, were partying with a friend on Sorillo Drive around 8:35 pm. 
Two masked gunmen openly fired on them and ran away. The third man in that group got a wound in his leg. After this incident, a few people rushed to this place and took him to the hospital. Now he is in stable condition.
 The shooting occurred close to Cumberbatch's home. Neighbors who heard the gunshots rushed the three injured men to the hospital, but Cumberbatch and Young were pronounced dead on arrival. Police found seven spent shells and two live rounds of ammunition at the scene, and investigations are ongoing. Cumberbatch's mother, Beverly Herry, expressed devastation over her son's murder and confirmed that he was not involved in any criminal activity. 
She believes that her son was a target of this crime for no reason. Herry hopes to get justice one day.
The tragic incident has once again highlighted the ongoing issue of gun violence in Trinidad and Tobago. The authorities should take immediate action and resolve this issue at the earliest.
My Thoughts
We hope both the victims will get justice and those criminals will go behind bars. As a citizen of a civilized society, I think it is my responsibility to report such a crime if I witness it.
