Four Suspects Apprehended in Foiled Armed Robbery in Mississauga

On Saturday, January 29, 2023, four suspects attempted an armed robbery at a business located at the junction of Clarkson Road and Lakeshore Road in Mississauga. Three of the suspects approached the office while one remained in the vehicle. One suspect attempted to gain entry into the establishment while brandishing a handgun but was unsuccessful. The suspects then fled the area in a stolen white Elantra.

Fortunately, a patrol officer from the 11 Division was in the vicinity and, together with other officers from the same division, managed to stop the vehicle and arrest all four suspects. A loaded 9-millimeter handgun with ten rounds of ammunition was found in the stolen vehicle and seized by the police. The four suspects were a 20-year-old Taejuan Johnson-Pinnock, 19-year-old Michael Hilaire, and two 17-year-old youths.

Thanks to the prompt actions of the officers, the whole situation came under control. Ultimately, the four suspects got arrested. Also, a firearm got recovered from the street.

The Peel Regional Police Chief, Mr. Nishan Duraiappah, emphasized that the current scenario is two of those suspects failed to adhere to the conditions of their release on previous charges.

I must say that the cops have done an excellent job in catching those suspects. The situation could have been worse if those suspects had robbed that office.
