Liberian Man Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Murdering Girlfriend
Description
Valington B. Kaiser, also known as Bishop, has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his girlfriend, Fatu Blasuwoah. The verdict was given by Judge Roosevelt Willie at the First Judicial Circuit, Criminal Court "A" at the Temple of Justice.
Kaiser was found guilty of murder, based on the evidence presented by the prosecution, and the judge ruled that he should serve a life sentence.
His defense team asked for a retrial, but the request was denied by the court. The evidence presented in court showed that Kaiser had committed the crime. On the day of the murder, Kaiser and Blasuwoah went into a cook shop together, but he came out alone and changed his shirt. He appeared suspicious and checked outside before leaving, and Blasuwoah did not come out with him. Kaiser also called Blasuwoah's mother to ask if she had reached home, even though he had already killed her. The court noted that Kaiser had raped with Blasuwoah before killing her, which showed that he intended to commit the crime. His fingerprint was found on her lifeless body, and he was the first on the scene but with all suprises he did not inform all of these to her parents. CCTV footage also showed the entire murder event. The trial lasted for over two weeks, with six witnesses were presented by the prosecution. Kaiser killed Blasuwoah on May 15, 2022, by stabbing her multiple times with a knife on her neck and hands, causing her to bleed to death. They had spent a few hours together before the murder, and Kaiser drugged her before committing the act.
