The gunman behind the MSU shooting was found dead
Description
Michigan is known for its bustling college atmosphere, but with the crime rates increasing in this state, no one is safe. So far, there have been 12 school shootings this year. One such mass shooting took place at the university where I study. On February 15, 2023, we were all in the classroom when we heard gunshots. Thankfully, we managed to come out safely, but some became victims. The recent update on the gunman who killed Michigan State University students have come out. Findings show that the gunman responsible for all three student killings is dead. The gunman, Anthony Dwayne McRae, was 43 years old and had no record with the university. He opened fire on Monday evening on campus in different sectors but was later found dead. Upon further investigation, he sustained injuries from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. When police found McRae in Michigan, he found a note that indicated he had targeted two Ewing Public Schools in New Jersey. However, he killed three students from Michigan State University, while five were severely injured. After this horrific incident, families are worried about letting their kids go to college. Students on campus already grieve for wounded and dead students. The police are trying to understand the reason behind the bloodshed.
My Thoughts
Nobody is safe around here, which is why it is always a good idea to have a public safety app like POTP on your smartphone. This app offers a secure reporting solution from which you can report an incident. But its features are not just limited to unique reporting. Monitoring agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to your request. You can even reach out to the agents by clicking a video link. It also has multiple alert methods and life tracking through GPS during emergencies.
