Uncontrolled Bus Rams!
Description
On 10th January, a cluster bus went out of control in Delhi and injured five people, including three, living on a pavement, officials informed on Tuesday. The bus went out of gear near Delhi's Rohtak Road Sarai Rohilla station, he further added. The injured ones have been identified as Kela Devi (70), Aarti (30), Sunita (35), and Aryan (3) - all of whom stayed in huts erected on the pavement. According to the police, a bus passenger named Ramesh was also injured in the accident. According to the official, a PCR call regarding an accident on Tuesday morning was received at 9.22 am that a cluster bus - no.DLIPD 4581, route no.925 - from Nangloi to Old Delhi Railway Sation hit pavement settlers on Rohtak road going towards Liberty from Kamal T point. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said all the injured have been admitted to the RML hospital for treatment and are stable now. "Legal action is being taken on the statement of taxi driver Ritesh whose vehicle was hit by the bus before hitting the pavement dwellers," she said.
My Thoughts:
Although it is an unfortunate incident that badly injured five innocent people, police should take the proper steps to find out the driver. If the taxi driver had taken any pictures or videos of the incident, it would make the task of the police easier. Nowadays, safety apps like Pulse of the People are available for free. These apps help users to take pictures or videos of an incident, record something, get live help, continue fire alarms, and more. Being a responsible citizen, you could also download and use the app. Go for it now!
